We’re so excited to be able to bring this one off special event to Saracen House Studio with our wonderful friend, and mum-to-be Lucia Needham modelling for us to create some beautiful maternity portraits at Saracen House Studio.
Lucia will be almost eight months pregnant, which is the ideal time to capture the beauty of maternity.
We’ll be working in a small group to show you how we shoot stunning bump photos and bodyscapes with creative lighting techniques and props.
The Mood Board
We will be creating four distinct looks with Lucia during the course of the day and you will be able to use the images you create in your own portfolios and socials.
The images on this mood board are for inspiration in terms of the looks and styles we’ll be creating on the day.
Look One - Low Key
Working with controlled lighting, we’ll create these elegant low key images that show the shape of the bump perfectly.
Look Two - High Key
Creating beautifully soft images using back-lighting and reflectors to get a wrap around look.
We’ll have a couple of outfits to show off Lucia’s bump including a sheer dress and contrasty black dress.
Look Three - Gowns & Drapes
We’re constructing a unique set which is elegant and opulent, paired with a stunning hand-made gown and some floaty fabric to create something really striking.
Look Four - Gelled Light
Working with gelled light, we’re going to create something more striking than your typical maternity shot.

Shoot Requirments
DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual controls and hotshoe.
Suggested lenses to cover 24-70, 70-200mm, 50mm prime.
